Ping An Insurance (Group) Company of China, Ltd. (“Ping An” or the respective sector. “Company” or the “Group”) was established in 1988 in Shekou, Shenzhen. The Group is the first insurance company in China to adopt a shareholding structure. Today, it has developed into a personal financial services group with three core businesses of insurance, banking and investment, enjoying parallel growth of its core and internet finance businesses. The Group’s shares are listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Ping An strives to become a world-leading personal financial services provider, by following the concept of “Driven By Technology, Finance Can Serve Life Better” to concurrently promote the development of its core finance business and internet finance business. The Group aims to offer customers a brand experience of “Expertise makes life easier”, achieving sustainable growth in profits, and providing long-term and stable returns to shareholders. For the core financial businesses, Ping An focuses on building up the financial supermarket and promoting customer migration. For the internet finance business, the Group weaves financial services into the very fabric of everyday life, spanning areas such as health, food, housing, transportation and entertainment. It also established the integrated financial services platform of “One Customer, One Account, Multiple Products, and One-Stop Services”. Backed by our integrated financial structure, local expertise, best practices in corporate governance with international standards, and singlebrand, multi-channel distribution network.

As at June, 2016, the Group’s consolidated total assets and equity attributable to shareholders of the parent company reached & Casualty are ranked as the second largest insurance company in China by premium income,in their respective sector.

Ping An was ranked No.20 in Forbes’ Global2000 league table in 2016, No.1 among the insurance companies in China and No.10 in global financial companies; 41 in U.S. Fortune Magazine’s Global 500 Leading Companies ranking, and No.1 among China’s non-State owned enterprises. On top of these accolades, Ping An was ranked No.41 in WPP Millward Brown’s BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands, being the 1st among all insurance brands worldwide, and it ranked 6th on the “Best ChineseBrand” ranking by Interbrand, the largest brand consultancy in the world, making it the top insurance brand in China.
